Policy on legally incapacitated persons

Policy on legally incapacitated persons

Holland Casino wants to allow as many people as possible to enjoy safe and responsible gaming. The conditions for this are set out in the Casino Games Decree 1996.

Article 12 of this Decree stipulates that Holland Casino is obliged to refuse admission to the casino to persons “whose behaviour or comments should reasonably lead to the conclusion that they are in a condition in which they are unable to make decisions based on their free will”, also referred to as legally incapacitated persons. This includes people with symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease, for example, as well as people with (severe) mental or learning disabilities, meaning they are extra vulnerable to the risks of taking part in games of chance.

In line with the Decree, this means that we are unfortunately  not allowed to welcome people at Holland Casino who can be considered as (temporarily) legally incapacitated, not even under the supervision or responsibility of a representative. If you have any questions in relation to our policy or if you would like more information, feel free to send your comments to preventiebeleidvragen@hollandcasino.nl.
